First,

The load capacity of the wheel determines the upper limit of the casters. The load capacity required for a single wheel or caster wheel is calculated as follows:

 

(frame weight + maximum load) ÷ the number of casters used × safe use coefficient (generally 1.3 to 1.5 times) = the required casters load capacity.

 

Here to give you a general, because when the number of casters used is 4, there will be casters suspended, so the load should be calculated by 3.

 

In this way, the caster wheel we choose will bear more weight than our actual load capacity, to avoid the damage of the caster wheel. At the same time, in the choice of load capacity should be calculated according to the maximum support point caster weight.

The casters used in different places can choose different load capacity, wheel diameter, rotation flexibility, bearing, etc. Generally, the larger the wheel diameter, the easier it is to push, the higher the load capacity, and the better it can protect the ground from damage. Therefore, the selection of wheel diameter should first consider the bearing weight and the starting thrust of the porter under load. The bigger the single wheel rotates, the less effort is needed. The single wheel is equipped with high quality (bearing steel) ball bearing, which can bear the heavier load, and the rotation is lighter, flexible and quiet.

different materials are selected for different use frequency. For example, in factories, warehouses and other places, where goods are carried frequently, and the load is heavy (each caster carries 280-420kg), it is suitable to choose the double row ball rack with thick steel plate (5-6 mm) stamping, hot forging and welding;

If it is used to carry heavy objects, such as textile factories, automobile factories, machinery factories, because of the heavy load and the long walking distance in the factory (each caster carries 350-1200kg), it is recommended to use thick steel plate (8-12mm) to cut and weld the wheel frame.

When considering the use environment, we should consider the size of the road, obstacles, residual substances on the site (such as iron filings, grease), the environmental conditions (such as high temperature, average temperature or low temperature) and other different conditions to decide the appropriate wheel material.
